The Gift of Sight for the people of Fiji

FiftyX has had the privilege of working with the Beeve Foundation for World Eye & Health for a number of years, and our President Ron Morris has served on their board of directors for over two years.

We are all so excited as preparations are underway for the 24th medical mission to Fiji to provide free eye care and eye surgery.

Pictured here are the foundation founders, Jerold and Dorothy Beeve in their home. They converted their entertainment center room into a storage and package prep room for all the items for the medical mission. Last year along, the medical team performed over 147 eye surgeries and dispensed 811 pairs of prescription eyeglasses! There are a lot of supplies to get ready.

This year’s mission will take place on August 15 -28. They will be again at the Nadi Public Hospital in Nadi, Fiji. “We are really excited because it makes it easier for the people of Fiji to travel to us, and the Nadi facilities are a huge improvement over previous facilities we have used in the past,” said Dr. Beeve. “This will be our biggest medical mission ever!” added Dorothy Beeve.

Many thanks to all the great supporters and volunteer staff. None of this would be happening without you.
